The fig trees have been giving lots these past weeks and other than just eating them fresh, i had only made jam with them until this past weekend.
My mom is an extremely good baker, she’s awesome, actually {yeah, i know i’m bias because she’s my mom}, so when i went to visit her on sunday, i took a lot of figs and we went to work. I wanted to make a mousse but i couldn’t find a good recipe so we decided to make this one of fig tarts by martha steward and it look promising. We made it: it was easy, quick and the result was delicious!

And while we were at it, we also made a fig pie and a strawberry with blue berry one.
