Caviar Izquierda is a new magazine that will be published four times a year and the first volume features Tijuana as the theme revolves around the origin and this city is where the project originated and grew.
My very good (and very talented) friend Franklin Collao is the creative director of the magazine which is the first of it’s kind in México, it’s a collectible piece on it’s own with it’s thick hard cover and very selected content and images.

Caviar Izquierda es una nueva revista que se publica cuatro veces al año y en su primer volumen hace honor a Tijuana ya que el tema que tratan es el origen y es en esta viudad en donde se originó y creció el proyecto.
Mi muy buen amigo (y muy talentoso) Franklin Collao es el director creativo de la revista la cual es la primera de su tipo en México, es una revista-objeto que es coleccionable por sí sola con su pasta dura y contenido selecto.

I just wanted to share a drawing my son made yesterday. It’s a shark. I love the way he sees the world.

Solo quería compartirles un dibujo que hizo mi hijo. Es un tiburón. Me encanla su forma de ver el mundo.

I have a goal for this month: clean and organize my work area. I have been trying to keep everything organized but every time I started to work on something, everything just ended up everywhere! such a mess. I can’t keep my area clean and neat.

But I am determined to make it happen. The first thing I have to do is organize my fabric and scraps. I have two big boxes full of little pieces of fabric I can’t part with…. but I can’t keep them all.

A great idea i though of that would make everything easier between me and my lovely fabric scraps is to make little cute bundles. That way I know what I have, what I want to keep and the rest makes great gifts and I might sell a few.

Tengo una meta este mes: limpiar y organizar totalmente mi espacio de trabajo. Realmente me ha costado mucho tenerlo limpio porque cada que inicio un proyecto nuevo volteo todo y todas las telas y material termina en todas partes.

Pero me aferro a organizar todo y mantenerlo así porque me ayudaría mucho para saber qué tengo y qué no al igual que para tener un espacio más eficiente.

Se me ocurrió una forma muy sencilla de organizar mis telas (que son las que más tengo desorganizadas) haciendo bonchesitos organizados por color. Esto me ayuda a decidir que me quedo y que regalo y qué vendo.

I have been investing most of my time to my University projects so that leaves me so little time to sewing bags and clothes. Last week I noticed that my stash of fabric was a little thin and lonely… I needed a few spools of thread and paper so I decided to go downtown and get some material. I stopped by my favorite fabric and remnants store.
This is what I found. Such lovely fabric. I was looking for twill and poplin for a few pants for my son, and something for spring skirts and dresses.
I’ll share the finished pieces made with these finds as soon as I make them.

Maybe this one’s my favorite…ok, this one will be my favorite for spring. It’s actually, technically, march somewhere by now and may I add a big WOW, how fast did january and february went by. I love march and here are some lovely findings in magenta and pink:

Me encanta esta falda: el color, el largo y el corte. Lo malo es que no me alcanza, ni de chiste y que por alguna razon no sucede nada cuando oprimo “buy now” jejeje.
