Antier, Diciembre 21, fue el solsticio de invierno lo cual significa, obviamente, que ya es oficielmente invierno! En Tijuana ha estado haciendo mucho frio, las mañanas son heladas, el dia templado pero con aire muy frío. Ya no salgo sin un abrigo y casi siempre mis botas, lo cual me recuerda que es tiempo de hacerme unos abrigos porque con uno solo no aguanteré.
Esta semana por fin he tenido tiempo de coser y descansar de los proyectos que tenía para el fin del semestre así que aqui les presento las primeras piezas que realmente se sienten invernales. Espero que les gusten. Disponibles :)
The day before yesterday, winter officially began! Here in Tijuana it has been very cold in the mornings and the rest of the day very cool but with freezing air. I can’t go out without a coat and boots. Which reminds me it’s time to make myself a few more winter coats because with one I won’t make it, hehehe.
This week I have been sewing a few bags that have the whole winter feeling in them, hope you like them. Available :)

Pienso que hacer, fotografiar y subir en tandas me ha funcionado bien.
Me encantaría tomar fotos tan rápido como termino las piezas pero por lo pronto no puedo.
Tengo en mi lista de quehaceres el pintar un pared blanca afuera.

El mes pasado, decidí retirar el diseño de la cartera grande que normalmente hago y tengo haciendo ya por años. (La haré solo por pedido especial). Así que no puedo dejar ese espacio vacio porque aunque sigo haciendo la cartera chica, a veces es necesario traer una cartera en donde puedas cargar muchas cosas como el pasaporte o el montón de monedas que terminamos cargando y dejando en todas partes.
Primero consideré que tenía que ser cerrada para que tenga más seguridad, despues pensé en la posición de las tarjetas y el cierre que mantenga las monedas. Intenté algo similar al pasado, solo cerrada de los lados y con una pieza que sirva de tapa que cierre con un botón. Me falló porque era un poco angosta y, al coserla, la tela del forro quedo un poco expuesta de los lados y la presentación no era la que yo quería.
Para esta segunda versión, pensé en algo más hacía la bolsa chica que hago con cierre como para lápices o cosméticos pero con separaciónes en el interior y la misma tapa que la pasada que le da una apariencia más como de cartera que de bolsa.
Todo esto me llevó a hacer la cartera que ahorita yo traigo en mi bolsa para ver que funciona y que no, lo cual me ayudará a mejorarla antes de hacer más para vender. ¿Qué les parece?
Last month, I decided to retire the big wallet design, I’ve been making it for a long while and it’s time for a change. (I will be only making it upon request and special orders).
This leaves a space for something new to replace it because, even though I will still have the small wallet, sometimes we need a bigger wallet to hold more things like a passport and the ton of coins we usually leave everywhere.
I started considering that it was going to be a wallet that was closed on the sides as opposed to the old design that opened up the whole way, I decided to close it all for more security and only have one side where it opened and closed with a lapel and a button. Then I thought of where and how the card slots would be and how the zipper part for the coins would be placed. The first design I thought of and made didn’t work well as it was a little too small and the fabric bunched up at the sides where I sewed it close.
For the second prototype I tried, I had in mind the small pouches and wristlets I make but with the card slots and a part that divided where you put the bills from the rest of the wallet. That resulted in the design I made and I have right now in my bag.
I’m going to see what works and what doesn’t so I can modify the design and prepare it so I can start offering it for sale.

He querido hacer un sorteo en este blog desde hace mucho y no había hecho el tiempo ni decidido que regalar pero creo que ya lo retrasé por mucho tiempo asi que he aqui el primer sorteo!
La bolsa en cuestion es una pieza de la colección 2007-2 que no sé porque nunca encontro un hogar pero creo que es porque su destino era irse en este sorteo jaja.
